About Us

Independent Automotive Inc. was established in 1991 by Ken Cox and Fred Mills. They had previously been employed at various local Subaru dealerships for over ten years. In that time, Ken and Fred received factory training in the service and repair of Subarus.

To the delight of their customers, their extensive knowledge of vehicle repair went beyond Subarus: the excellent reputation they garnered for their craftsmanship soon found them overseeing repairs on other foreign and domestic vehicles.

Independent Automotive Inc. has grown to the extent that they now employ five technicians and one full time office manager. The owners and majority of the staff are ASE certified master technicians. From highly technical, late-model vehicle control systems, to the most minor repairs: thanks to their superior diagnostic skills, Independent Automotive Inc. can do it all. We are a state of Nevada certified emissions station and are a 2G shop, qualified by the state to perform repairs related to emission control. As a NAPA care repair facility we offer our customers the Peace of Mind Warranty which extends nationwide for 12 months or 12,000 miles.

Ken and Fred believe they have one of the best automotive crews in the area. Their staff pays a great deal of attention to performing quality work at a reasonable price and they stand behind their work.
